Prayer for England Day 80

Below is the verbatim Balfour declaration that was decided upon by the British war cabinet of the time. There were 10 men included in the writing of the letter below and 7 of them all came from Evangelical Christian families who all had Zionist sympathies. As I’ve said before God is amazing at what he can achieve by those with a willing heart to be used for his purposes.

Foreign Office

November 2nd, 1917

Dear Lord Rothschild,

I have much pleasure in conveying to you on behalf of His Majesty’s government, the following declaration of sympathy with Jewish Zionist aspirations which has been submitted to, and approved, by the Cabinet:

His Majesty’s Government view with favour the establishment in Palestine of a national home for the Jewish people, and will use their best endeavours to facilitate the achievement of this object, it being clearly understood that nothing shall be done which may prejudice the civil and religious rights of existing non-Jewish communities in Palestine, or the rights and political status enjoyed by Jews in any other country.

I should be grateful if you would bring this declaration to the knowledge of the Zionist Federation.

I continue to ask our eternal Father to forgive us for our forefathers lack of conscience in the breaking of the above promise. I pray that our brothers and sisters in Israel can allow us to build bridges of forgiveness and to have a relationship with them that will benefit both our nations. I pray we will simply be acknowledging the will and obedience to God in order to further his Glory.
